Heads up: Some or all of the identifications affected by this split may have been replaced with identifications of Thalassarche. This happens when we can't automatically assign an identification to one of the output taxa. Review identifications of Thalassarche chlororhynchos 4091

Seeing a number of these are getting bumped up to genus level even though they are pretty clearly within the range of one of the new taxa. I am not sure if this is a common problem with taxon splits outside of areas that are "on the line" between ranges, just found it notable given the great distances between the South American and Australian populations. This is because it is not possible to assign marine areas to a taxon distribution, unfortunately. All of these would have been observed too far away from the coast, presumably.
That being said, these cases could be easily assigned to one of the species based on their distribution, so they won't stay genus level for too long.

Makes sense, thanks!
