Northern California based naturalist, especially passionate about biodiversity having previously lived in far less biodiverse regions. Equally fascinated by flora, fungi and fauna. History of work with endangered shorebirds, currently focused on conservation botany. Committed to raising awareness around imperiled species, especially in regions of imminent resource extraction, and working to demand better land management. Interested in native flora of serpentine, desert, xeric and salt marsh ecosystems, landlocked island ecosystems and differences in regional urban impact and microclimates on phenology.
