Former Research Fellow with USFS. Currently working on occupancy and abundance analyses for small mammals, birds, and carnivores in response to forest thinning and fire in the Sierra Nevada and southern Cascades. I'm most passionate about plants, birds, and fungi, but honestly I love to photograph and learn about everything.

I have a B.S. in Wildlife Biology and a minor in GIS from Humboldt State University. I completed my California Naturalist Certification in 2018.

I recently completed my M.S., you can read my thesis here: https://digitalcommons.humboldt.edu/etd/730/

Check out this Belding's ground squirrel I documented at Sagehen Creek, it may be the first seen in the basin in decades:

As a curator, I focus my efforts on updating the conservation statuses of various taxa. If you see a status that needs to be updated, let me know!
