An abundance of leaf variation in the foamflowers on this trail…
This was the only one I saw that approaches var. lacinatus. It was next to several var. trifoliata. Some of the latter had upper leaves that were not fully trifoliate, still connected at the leaf base on one or both sides.
Leaves trifoliolate, compound. Inflorescence a panicle.
