This plant was very common in the vegetated patches on this gravel spit. A caterpillar can be seen in one of the photos, which I have made a separate observation for.

Still plenty around this summer, numerous in SW corner of clearing. Did not see any along roadside through forestry land.
Who would have thought? and in the middle of winter! Inside my house. I had collected some caterpillars. One might have escaped and metamorphosed inside the kitchen
