Photos super zoomed and cropped so not very sharp as bird stayed in centre of pond. Found earlier in the day by James H. and only my fourth record in Lambton.
First county record found by James Holdsworth the previous evening.
Lambton's first Clamp-tips were seen yesterday by James H. and tonight four of us were able to corral one for further documentation. There were probably 7-8 individuals, some quite high, and there is a possibility that they are not all Clamp-tips so further field time is needed.

Thanks to James and Matt for alerting us to their find. We were right around the corner doing the same thing that they were.
Although teneral, this shows the huge eyespots and cerci that distinguish this species.
Unfortunately in a very difficult spot and position. And distant! Highly cropped.
After a tip from James H who saw one day flying, I checked out the river and staked out a spot where 3 were seen simultaneously after 9:15PM.
