This may actually be the sterile triploid hybrid P. braunii x P. munitum. The plant had very large fronds with the color and texture of P. munitum. Both P. munitum and P. braunii were present in the area. The degree of pinna dissection in this plant is not all that different from P. braunii but I attribute this to the particularly large size of the fronds. The fact that the basal acroscopic pinnues are significantly larger that the adjacent pinnules suggests that this is P. setigerum rather than P. braunii.

This one is potentially different. The colour & texture looks a little different than the others that I've called P. haleakalense, and the last photo definitely shows just a couple of scales at the very base with a thin dark central line (or a shadow at a fold?) as per bonseyi.

Lower leaflets only slightly reduced (and the bottom-most one actually slightly larger than the one above it), but the very pale tan scales seem to suggest Polystichum haleakalense (which was also found elsewhere in the area) rather than bonseyi.
