I am a MSU Extension Master Gardener and plant nerd. I enjoy native plants and identifying them while hiking. I am also a science geek with a background in engineering and chemistry. I like to try to understand the systems I observe from a micro and macro perspective. I live in Northern Michigan in the woods. I helped found The Greenspire School, a charter middle school in Traverse City with an "ecologically relevant curriculum" that focuses on Place-Based Environmental Education.
