Things needed:

• Smartphone with GPS
• Digital camera
• Freeware to track your route as .gpx (e.g. for Android users: Geo Tracker -> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ilyabogdanovich.geotracker&hl=nl&gl=US&pli=1
• Geosetter (https://geosetter.de/en/download-en/)

Steps:

1. Make sure your digital camera has exactly the same time (and time zone) as your smartphone
2. Turn on your phone's GPS
3. Open Geo Tracker & press the 'record button'
4. Have a nice excursion and take photos with your digital camera
5. Stop recording your route and send the .gpx to your e-mail adress using the 'share' button in Geo Tracker
6. Copy your photos to your computer & download the gpx to a folder (save all your future gpx files to this folder)
7. Open GeoSetter
8. Locate your photos and select them all in Geosetter (Ctrl + A)
9. Press Ctrl + G, select the folder containing the gpx file, click OK and wait untill done

10. Save your original image files.
    ! At first Geosetter use: check the option 'overwrite original file when saving changes' under settings > file options

Now you can upload your photos to INaturalist without the need to specify your observation location anymore!
