I am a marine biologist working for NOAA's Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. I study marine ecology in nearshore systems, including range shift ecology, invasion biology, and kelp forest ecology. I have three biology degrees: PhD from UC Santa Cruz, MS from CSU Long Beach, and I started with a BS from UCLA in 1990.
