I'm based in the East Bay, and hike quite a lot, so I make as many observations as I can while I walk! I have a PhD in invertebrate paleontology (i.e., specialize in marine molluscs, arthropods, corals, etc), but my recent obsession is mushrooms and other fungi. Trying to get better at identifying them!
