Postdoctoral researcher at UC Berkeley; Ph.D. graduate from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego. Research interests include: climate change solutions with soil microbiomes using metagenomics; marine microbes, genomics, and natural products chemistry. I'm a microbiologist & biologist by training, but I’ve always been fascinated by nature and unique organisms.

My interests include tidepool critters, insects, invertebrates, fungi, reptiles, and amphibians. I love learning more about the critters and plants that I find outdoors!
