I have been a naturalist with Nature Chilliwack since 1981. I am a Horticulturalist and established a wholesale/retail native plant nursery, B.C.'s Wild Heritage Native Plants, in 1989. In addition, I wrote numerous environmental consulting reports and aided in surveys for rare species (Fraser Valley and Okanagan) from 1994 to 2019. I have grown several rare plants and wrote 'Propagation and Recovery of Extirpate Populations for Tall Bugbane (Actaea elata var. elata) in British Columbia' for Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development (FLNRORD).

My latest adventure is learning about the native bees and other insects in the Eastern Fraser Valley. I enjoy watching native bees and insects and their associations with native plants, their behaviour, and finding native bee nests.
