I am a biologist and nature photographer, graduated from the Pontifical Javeriana University in Cali, Colombia, with a focus on conservation biology and complementary training in ecology. For my thesis, I investigated the evolution of lifestyle in orchids of the genus Epidendrum. Currently, I lead the taxonomic group of birds in the project "Baseline for the Conservation of a 40-Year Restored Andean Forest: Focal Groups of Flora and Fauna in Farallones de Cali National Natural Park, Colombia".

I am also interested in the study of conservation, ecology, and evolution in birds, plants, and insects.
