I am an evolutionary biologist and PhD student in the lab of Ann Sakai & Stephen Weller. We work in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of California, Irvine.

I focus on the evolution of floral volatiles following ecological shifts in habitat, breeding system, and pollination. Our lab tracks the adaptive radiation of a young and incredibly diverse plant genus, Schiedea, threatened with habitat loss throughout Hawai’i. On the mainland, I study how climate change is altering pollinator-mediated natural selection in the Rockies. I also model the evolution of mating displays within pair-bonding birds.
