I have had a lifelong interest in nature and studied biology and genetics before starting a career in the Federal government totally unrelated to natural sciences. I am particularly interested in fungi and birds, but enjoy photographing and identifying just about anything. My current personal naturalists projects are learning about all of the butterflies and gulls found in the South Okanagan area of BC. I am currently the president of the South Okanagan Naturalists' club and the caretaker for the White Lake Important Bird and Biodiversity Area.
