I spent a lot of time outdoors growing up, but did not become very interested in birds until 2002 when Blue Jays nested directly outside one of my kitchen windows. I am currently a student at Texas A&M University - Kingsville and would like to work as an avian ecologist after graduating, preferably working with an endangered species or helping to prevent a species from becoming listed.

Any close-up photos of raptors (I may start posting some songbirds too) are captured & banded with appropriate federal and state permits for research, then released unharmed.
