Nesting female returning the the ocean.
Juvenile hawksbill washed up on the beach and was very mal-nourished. Died shortly after.
Uno de los adultos mas grandes que eh visto de esta especie
I'm 90% sure this is a sub-adult Green Sea Turtle. One of several I saw cruising the North jetty of Aransas Pass while waiting for the ferry after cleaning up the beach on San Jose Island.

The green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas), also known as the green turtle, black sea turtle, or Pacific green turtle,is a large sea turtle of the family Cheloniidae. This species is named for the green color of its fat, rather than the color of its skin or shell as most people think. These turtles shells are in fact olive to black. It is the only species in the genus Chelonia. Its range extends throughout tropical and subtropical seas around the world, with two distinct populations in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. The common name comes from the usually green fat found beneath its carapace.
SCUBA dive, rocky reef, turtle covered in algae. has a round marking on the posterior left supracaudal scute. Several photos
We snagged this turtle trolling. We were able to release it mostly unharmed. Had 4 scutes along the back.
Sadly dead on a beach. Some damage to front right flipper.
I gave up counting after 75 turtles in this little bay, there were likely well over a hundred as they became hard to make out in the distance. It was a phenomenal sight.
