sedgehen's Identifications

Cold rainy day. Around 3pm it is as though a flock of a variety of birds, landed in my backyard. In addition to kinglets, finches, cowbirds, white-throated sparrows and the like. I kept watching what I thought initially was a Baltimore oriole. Later I would see it again and think: Robin. Later, I would see a Robin and think, oh that’s not the same. And then I saw it and thought, how interesting, that Junco is so black. And then what I thought was a leaf ended up being it’s russet coloring as it hopped through my yard. It has been in the backyard now for three hours that I am aware of. And the song. Amazing.
