Hubbard Valley, Medina County Park District. What's the species?
This is a new butterfly to me so please check my ID. I couldn't get a spread wing picture. I found it in the grass along the trail near the creek in Allardale park.
Not my photo, sent by SO. Got inside of a building, captured and released outside. Workers suspect breeding population as different individuals have been observed inside and outside.
Montville trails. Several trees with light/moderate striping. Not many beech at this park, and not all beech in this stand affected
Found dead on trail at Alderfer-Chatfield Wildlife Sanctuary, after snow melt.
Brief description of what you observed
Not sure what this is. Seemed too fast and long for a muskrat. Did not look like a beaver but both are also in the same area.
21" long; body 13", tail 8"; apparently died of natural causes
Found in a Barn Owl pellet in a nest box.
