Plant about three feet tall. Very small leaves and thin branches. Plant grew directly up in very sunny area.
Observed growing next to the parking lot of tecolote canyon. Branches had a length of about 1-1 1/2 feet long. Whole plant reached a height of about 3 feet.
Palm-sized insect sticking to wall. Found inside of a building, several seen in area.
Small red flower about an inch long and half an inch wide growing in the shade on a hill. Flowers seems to be growing from a bush or a tree that is about 3-4 feet tall and wide.
Found by a lot of other low ground flowers. Was at the base of a mountain in the desert in direct sunlight.
Found in the open desert. The yellow flowers where about as large as the tip of a marker. The ground was gritty and it had just recently rained.
Found amongst other plants, approximately 3 feet tall. Found in an area with moderately warm temperatures, gets a generous amount of sunlight most hours of the day. Other factors include lizards, cats, and other plants.
Found in a very hot desert like habitat with dry soil and hot/dry temperatures. Aggressive sunlight exposure from sunlight to sunrise. Surrounding biotic factors include insects, cacti, and small weeds.
These leaves were growing in an area that was mostly shaded by hills and bigger trees, but it still got some sunlight during part of the day. They rose off the ground less than a foot tall and took up 3-5 feet in area. They were growing in moderately dry soil and 100 yards away from the ocean
70°F, sunny clear skies. 3 others were seen in the vicinity, no interaction was apparent. Mostly low vegetation in the area, multiple holes in the ground. Lightly developed area. Approximately 10 inches tall, brownish fur with a white tail.

Usually when I see seagulls they are on the beach searching for food or flying around, but I had the opportunity to capture it wadding in the water. Unlike the other seagulls near by, this one had a white head with no other coloration.
Found in the underbrush of Tecolote Canyon. No flowers on the plant which measured approximately 4-5 feet tall and 4-5 feet wide. Soil around the plant was covered in moss and smaller sprouting plants.
This is a large bush. It was found next to the road, off on a trail. It has pink bead like flowers. The temperature is 60 degrees. The ground was covered in dead plants and wood chips.

Found in Corte Madera Pond among macrophytes. Large in size, only one found.
This plant is not hemp dogbane but it looks similar to it so I’m thinking that it could possibly be in the same family of species. Their stems of hemp dogbane and the plant I took a picture of are similar colors, like a red burgundy color. Also, the leaves in the plant I am recording has spikes around the perimeter of them. It had a flower but I was not able to get a good picture of it but the flower was red/pink. The temperature was in the mid 60s, degrees Fahrenheit.

Small bush like plant that is deep green. Long shoots covered in long thin leaves that seem to have a fuzzy felt like texture. Surrounded by short grass not much seemed to be around it. Lives in a dry environment with lots of sun
Very large bush like plant. Very bright green little leaves that seem to have little pointed indents on the edges. More barren inside clobbered by most leaves on the outside. Found in a very dry environment however seems to grown very large and thrive in lots of sunlight. Dry brittle leaves.
There were a couple of these species of plants scattered throughout the canyon. They got direct sunlight, leaves appeared to look very dry and it had the most flowers out of all the other yellow flowering plant species around it. It was about 1.5 ft tall.
