A loroco plant was spotted by Carlos Lopez Manzano (showing the plant in the fourth photo). Flowers had the distinctive pungent smell and taste of loroco. A vine growing amid shrubbery at edge of Yeguare River (although often cultivated, there were no homesteads nearby).

A fairly large (tall) tree, about 20 meters tall, in front of the hotel. An old tree, dating from prior to hotel construction. Apparently native to the tropical rain forest in the Cangrejal valley.
