Abundant aquatic in pond; no reproductive structures found.

Found in small ponds near Jewel Lake in Tilden in a shaded part of the pond. Non-native to California.

Located at the Brunswick Fraternal Order of Police Lodge Pond. Permission to survey granted to Hydrilla Strike Team for 2017.
Swimming area was dominated by sediment mat of rooted Egeria.

Originally observed by Owen Lockhart and aquatic research team at Cleveland Metroparks in early June, 2017. Small clumps of E. densa free floating near boat ramp, adjacent to parking lot.
Whorls of four, finely serrated leaf margins, robust and dense leaf arrangement.
This is the first confirmed record of this commercially-available plant in Cleveland Metroparks.
