Animal spotted on Baited Remote Underwater Video System (BRUVS) in the Eastern Shore Islands (ESI), Nova Scotia. Video was captured around 10pm at a depth of roughly 8.5m. Due to video quality and water visibility, these were the best screen grabs I was able to get. We think it is likely a juvenile American Eel due to its serpentine shape and movement, however Rock Gunnel was considered as a possible contender. In the video, the animal darts rapidly out of some kelp, turns around, and darts back into the kelp within a roughly 2 second window. Any help in IDing is greatly appreciated!
