empidonax_wrightii's Identifications

Growing in sandy soil in short grass under a western hemlock in Bush Park on Yelm Hwy near Lacey , WA. Several arranged in a ring about 10’ in diameter. Odor is pleasant, not unlike Aurora’s “frozen orange juice” smell in description of Blewit. Caps were wet and slippery but not viscid. Older specimens’ caps were wavy with upturned edges. Gills on all ages are purple. No sign of a veil at any age. Doing a spore print.

First time, in about 150 Phaeolus schweinitzii in this area, I have found one clearly NOT associated with Douglas-fir. This is in a planted marsh area rehabilitation area- only conifers are Sitka spruce.
