It’s really bright yellow. I’ve seen this before but in a completely different place. It was also on wet wood though.

Growing in a plateau live oak (Quercus fusiformis) basal cavity wound left over from branch removal years ago. About 3 meters above the ground. It was growing pretty far down the cavity but mostly on the right side, extending all the way out to being visible from the outside. Super fleshy and moist, had the consistency of raw chicken. Fresh mushroomy smell, somewhat easy to remove. Cloudy humid day, about 67 degrees. Private residence
