With Valeri Ponzo, Don Fraser, and Clint Gibson; a successful search for Dusky Roadside-Skippers (we saw 4) -- plus various other lifers. The weather at the start was sunny and 74 degrees with a light breeze; at the end, it was 85 degrees. We left at 1310 and headed to Appleby's in Brooksville for lunch.

A solo visit to see what was around. I walked the road the farthest northeast ever, and explored both east and west sides. The only plants blooming are Shiny Blueberry, Skyblue Lupine, and Netted Pawpaw. I found three patches Sparkleberry, which I'll monitor over the next 6 weeks expecting lots of hairstreaks.
I also found two more deer stands -- I'm up to four now.
