I knew this species was supposed to be here, so when I saw a cluster of milkwort-looking plants, each with their own little fluorescent flag planted next to them, I figured I had found what I was looking for. That wasn't very hard.
Uncommon; few fruiting plants in polytrichum moss mat with Cladonia lichens on sand barren.
Probably field milkwort, although Curtiss' milkwort is not out of the question.
Small plant in a field. Very thin, entire, alternate leaves.
Growing in a sunny & dry "waste" area. Flowers are about 1cm high. Grass-like leaves.
Not sure if this counts as a not "wild/naturalized" observation, but I have a suspicion this is not a native occurrence...
Growing along the bank of a creek in moist woods.
Primrose-leaved? Lance-leaved? I never check the leaves well enough.
Viola sp.
