Mother and juvenile seen early in the morning. Went back in the afternoon with camera and found juvenile (pictured) with Mum a bit higher eating.
This was unique: there are sometimes koalas down at Dumaresq Creek but this tree was in the middle of the yard (went through the middle of the chook pen). The closest ‘bush land’ was about 800mtrs… it must have been chased by a fox or a dog for it to climb a pine tree in a yard.
Found dead. Freshly predated upon (potential kill of a dingo, fox, cat or owl).
In a Blackwood (Acacia melanoxylon).
