Michey (Berberis darwinii). Woody bush similar to calafate but different species. In berry phase growing over 3 feet high. Was commonly growing in location along with Nire forests. In lower elevation transitional scrubland. Found in Reserva Rio Simpson park in Cerro Heumules on nature walk. Habitat was along a trail used by humans and animals with many different species of plants growing along it. Nirre, Nothofagus spp., and Berberis species were dominant in this area.
Raukaua laetervirens (Sauco del diablo). About 15 feet tall along trail. Found growing at Puerto Rio Tranquilo campsite Rio Chirifo which was approximately 400m west of Lago General Carrera. General area is located in temperate rainforest habitat.
Tall shrub about 3 meters at highest symmetrical leaves found in grass covered soil. The center trunk is woody and the other stems are less so more pliable.
Guaitecas cypress (Pilgerodendron uviferum). Tall tree about 10 feet high. Seen in Tortel on nature walk. In temperate rainforest along with many other plant species that reside in climate. About 160m NE from shore of the bay of Tortel.
