UPDATE: Added some photos highlighting the “barber-pole” striped pattern on stipe, close up of gills, and cap in drying process with black spores collecting on stipe and paper.
Found in a yard (likely on or next to dog poop). Growing on grass in a shaded area. There is a Hemlock type of tree about 5 feet away, but there were no others like these around. Never seen them before. Rained a lot here last week, but had stopped the past 2 days with temps low-mid 40F.
Apologies for the poor photo of the gills; I did not want to pick them before asking here first.

Growing out of woodchip pile. Specimens had undergone deep Hygrophanous effect, turning deep white from sun bleach. Deep blue bruising.

Large maintained patch. About 3 years old, and puts out more and more each year. Next to irrigation and thick grasses.

Fall time Psilocybe Ovoideocystidiata growing from a woodchip / grass pile. Very cool to observe this species during the fall. They seem to pick up this intense bluing / black colored caps with the colder temps. Confirmed species under microscopic imagery.
