Great find by botanist and rare plant magnet @mcharpentier of this rare violet. This is a county record. A "stemless blue" violet with a long spur, glabrous petals, pubescent upper leaf surface.

Out of the hundreds of these I've seen, this was the reddest individual I've ever seen.
Desmodium sessilifolium (sessile-leaved tick-trefoil), Grills Preserve, Bowling Ln, Westerly, RI. State Threatened. I think this is the only extant EO in New England.
Schizocarps with 1-3 semicircular segments; long narrow leaflets with very short petioles; leaves rough, firm, conspicuously reticulate-veined).
Geranium bicknellii (northern crane's-bill), Catamint Sods, Diamond Hill Management Area, Cumberland, RI. State Endangered. Population is growing, but endangered by bicycles. This is the only extant EO in the state.

While surveying a population of Atelopus epikeisthos, we managed to find 3 small juveniles. Unfortunately, no adults were seen.

Oddly, this animal was found in the Alto Mayo region of Peru. Not 100% positive on the ID, but it is the best match. The only other species in the region is Anolis soinii and the species does not match the animal in question.
Found at the base of roadside cliff in Bongará province near Pedro Ruiz, Amazonas Perú. This is the male of the species.

Interestingly, there are lots of both high and low bush blueberries present in the vaccinity and no galls were observed on them, leading me to think it is not E. vaccinii.

Kinda surprised to find this practically in Florida Bay. I thought they were a strictly freshwater species.

Lauren saw a vulture! Can’t see his head well, is there another way to distinguish black/ turkey? Turkey probably much more likely!

Rediscovery after 60 years, first locality record for Virginia. In the existing literature record locality information was not mentioned.
Anthropogenic. Beneath a cut deciduous log in a lowland marsh, there were bottles underneath and around the log, possibly indicating a dump site. 28 meters from the the ruins of possibly a oyster or clam shucking shack. 32°C, 54%RH, 16 km/h, sunny.
Found beneath a flower pot. Around 2 inches snout to vent.
Adult greater siren captured in a crayfish trap. This individual measured ~ 20 inches in length.
Habitat was a seasonal wetland dominated by Juncus effus in an improved pasture on a cattle ranch.
Late-autumn bloom, with no leaves, orange style, and 3 white anthers.
