Another Gall specimen on Crimson Spire Oak (Q. robur x Q. alba). I received a call about "tons of galls" on their Crimson Spire Oak. These trees have been in the ground since 2006 and galls were only noticed in the spring of this year. Some appear older... maybe a full season.
On Crimson Spire Oak (Q. robur x Q. alba) Gall photos included. This adult emerged as I cut into gall. Some gall wasps on tree have already started emerging. Tree has only been in the ground for 2 years, new home development.
Emerged from a rose gall (bedeguar), alongside Diplolepis rosae (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/118716688)
Several dozen examples of, Rosa foliolosa, not previously observed in this area of thick grasses. Most specimens had the galls.
Several genera in this tribe have wingless stages that can't be distinguished from photos
