7 plants in bud, leaves rather strap-like. Between tire treads in boggy soil, footslope of Pine Mountain in a flat area carved out for a gas pipeline well. Also saw a Platanthera sp. here, but it was in fruit. Not sure what would still be in bud this late.
Same spot as 48 years ago. This seems not all that conservative and I have no doubt there are more extant pops in suitably sandy areas.
