Thought that my first Live Oak observation should be something really spectacular. The Duffie Live Oak on 1129 Caroline Avenue in Mobile Alabama is approximately 300 years old and is so named because it used to stand in front of the residence of Mobile's mayor in the 1870's. Prior to Mayor Duffie it was known as the Seven Sisters Oak.
