Location: Seattle WA, Meadowbrook neighborhood
Weather ~70F no wind, mostly sunny
Habitat: roadside
Diagnostic features: long pinnately compound leaves of many ovate leaflets characteristic of vetches, umbel of bilaterally symmetrical flowers characteristic of legumes.
Phenological phase: some fruiting, others beginning to flower, most flowering with pollinators present.

Second one just several yards from the previous observation and a few minutes apart. Slightly larger than the first with more obvious white 'girdle' between segments. Final instar of the Rosy Aemilia (Lophocampa roseata) found on a Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii). It was feeding when observed, eating all the way down to the needle's base. This is consistent with when I've raised them.
