Name: Bongardia chrysongonum
One of its edible plants on Kermanshah province / Iran and belongs to the family podophyllaceae.
In other parts of Iran, this plant grows with its beautiful flowers.

The first time I had ever seen this, i videoed the entire event as well from entry to exit. It was as if this species swims all the time. I sent it to a frogmouth expert and she had never seen that before. The bird chose to swim and flew away very easily after its swim. There appeared to be no explanation for the bird swimming as it was not particularly hot or anything unusual.

A striking orange and black butterfly on the upper surface. The underside of the wings have bright silver spots, hence the common name. It is also called the Pasionaria Mexicana in Spanish, since a preferred larval food source is the Passion Flower. Body length about 2 cm. This species is a native of Mexico but occasionally strays into the US and south to Panama. Family Nymphalidae (Heliconinae) or Heliconidae. Found on the ground at night outside our gate, semi-rural residential area, San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico 2,200 meters.

Bamboo Pit Viper (Trimeresurus gramineus Shaw, 1802).

Habitat: It is found in bamboo groves and forests, usually near streams.

The range of this species has been restricted to southern India. It is also rarely seen near Harishchandragad and some other mountain ranges of Western Ghats aka Sahyadris in Maharashtra.

We saw the snake eagle as it flew up from the ground. It flew in slow circles while it controlled and started to eat the snake. One minute from pic 1 to pic 8 where it started to eat the snake. Total time for this series, three minutes.
