A cluster of large shrubs, up to about 3 meters tall. Some leaves looking rather sad and yellow (which is what originally drew my attention to these guys). No reproductive parts available. This species not uncommon on this ridge and the hills immediately E that are surrounded by Mountain Meadows Golf Course. Coin used for scale is a US quarter dollar (¢25 piece), 24.26 mm, 0.955 inch in diameter.

Funastrum cynanchoides var. hartwegii under the Jepson Manual treatment.

Vine with super twisty growth, growing on a planted lantana bush in one of the planter beds in the Albertson's parking lot, in San Dimas, CA. Flowers pink and white. Stems bleeding milky juice when broken. Coin used for scale is a US quarter dollar (¢25 piece), 24.26 mm, 0.955 inch in diameter.

This wildflowers were slightly dried, however the prosperous blooms still remained. The flower "fronds" were light magenta/purple, medium-length, wide, and densely compacted along the stems. These were found in spontaneous clusters among the mustards and thistles of the Seasonal Grassland slopes.

The lily-like flower had a thin, tall stalk topped with small, yellow flowers with petals like sun rays. Though uncommon on most of these hillsides, these monocots were abundant in localized clusters among the fields of north-facing Seasonal Grassland.
