I have spent a few hours doing various searches on here to find observations of lightning strikes on nature.
I have run out of ideas for now on what to search for.
I find it interesting that I found no observations for Africa or South America. Either there aren't as many observers there, I am searching the wrong species, I am not able to search due to the language difference, or lightning evidence is different via too wet or dry conditions.

I did my best to search all the types of trees I could think of. The taxonomy tree is a bit difficult to capture all tree species.

I know there are probably a lot more observations, but the observer didn't include any wording in their description that I could search for. I did try searching via a couple different major languages too.

I am surprised at how many I found. When starting this project, I didn't expect to find that many. I also didn't add some observations that hinted at lightning but I could not verify from the photos. Some observations are just too much hearsay and speculation with not enough evidence. λιγότερα ↑
