Join the Texas Nature Trackers on a BioBlitz in a previously closed-to-the-public unit of Devil's River State Natural Area! The BioBlitz will run October 4-6, and 50 citizen scientists will be invited to participate.
Participants will be invited based on early submission of interest form, locality, citizen science data collection quality, and availability. People who are not initially invited are placed on a waitlist and may be invited if space becomes available.
Participants must be able endure heat and rough conditions including thorns, venomous snakes, large carnivores, remote backcountry, no cell service, and no water fountains. They must also provide their own tent (no campers or pop-ups), field gear, observation equipment, food, water, and cooking equipment. We recommend two gallons of water per person per day. They must also have a vehicle that can drive on rough, hilly, rocky ranch roads.
