Next: Arkansas

Yesterday I spent the day in Bossier City, Louisiana, at the Red River National Wildlife Refuge. The highlight of my day was seeing a new lifer, the White Ibis; I have always wanted to see them.

I have a day trip in Arkansas planned for next month. I was born there and lived there for the first part of my childhood, and I've gone often to visit relatives, but I haven't gone yet as a naturalist. I can't wait to go!

I am lucky to live in a part of Texas that is near the borders of Louisiana and Arkansas so that I can start visiting those places more often!
