I enjoy learning to identify living things around me, data collection, citizen science and documentation of species. There is always more to learn and identify and I appreciate and enjoy knowledge sharing. While I don't specialize in any one area enough to be an expert, I have a solid foundation with a B.S. in Natural Science from UW-Madison, with coursework in spring vascular flora of Wisconsin, terrestrial vertebrates, entomology, ecology, and vegetation of Wisconsin. I classify trail camera wildlife images, but much prefer to be outside collecting my own observations. Based in Wisconsin, which is the northern most limit of southern species and the southern most limit of northern species, I am most familiar with eastern species. I have the most experience with mammals and birds, but know the Wisconsin species of reptiles and amphibians.
I have a solid foundation on insect families, vascular plants native to Wisconsin, and game species of fish, but enjoy the process of identifying whatever I come across.
