Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished. —Lao Tzu

Hi, I'm Chloe. I am a Floridian and an amateur naturalist with a strong interest in ornithology, mostly herons, egrets, buteos, corvids, and kites, but I'm also quite interested in herps, such as invasive reptiles of the South, including anoles and house geckos, and native species, particularly box turtles, ratsnakes and racers.

I enjoy nature photography, although I'm not so good at it yet. Working on that ;) I mostly take pictures of brown anoles and herons, but I'm hoping to expand my species list by going to nature preserves more often. I rarely if ever obscure my locations.

I use a Nikon P900 for all my wildlife photos.
I have a pet ball python and 2 leopard geckos. I love reptiles. :)

IDs:
I always try to do subspecies with snakes in FL, like the Southern Black Racer, or the Florida Pine Snake. It helps be more specific. (Say you do North American Racer - this could be all 11 subspecies.) I only do this in intergrade regions.

Day geckos are probably my favorite geckos to ID, and I usually ID them as their subspecies too, unless otherwise noted.

I'm also working on Australian birds and reptiles, mostly herons and egrets, but also parrots and fairywrens. Pythons, monitors, and blue-tongue skinks are my focus for reptiles.

Currently doing an anole study of knight and crested anoles of South Florida.
