Ek het in 2015 S.M.A.R.T (Stranded Marine Animal Rescue Team)gestig.Walvisse, dolfyne,robbe en seeskilpaaie wat in nood is, probeer ons red. Ek was ook n direkteur van SAPREC (Seabird and Penguin Centre).
Ek is passievolle "birder" en het al amper 270 spesies herken in SA.
In Julie 2019, het ek n massiewe beroerte gehad . My spraak en skryf talente het seer gekry.
Hierdie iNaturalist gee vir my die geleentheid om my duisende fotos in my argiewe, met die wêreld te kan deel.

My name is Tersia Marais. Fulltime photographer and nature lover. My passion is for marine animals. I established S.M.A.R.T (Stranded Marine Animal Rescue Team) in 2015. Stranded whales, dolphins, seals and turtles in trouble are rescued and cared for. I was also a director of SAPREC (Seabird and Penguin Rehabilitation Centre).
I'm a passionate birder too and can tick off 270 South African species.
Then in July 2019, I had a massive stroke. This affects my speech and ability to write (especially English).
iNaturalist gives me the opportunity to upload the thousands of photographs from my archives, to share with the world.
I am based in the coastal town of Mossel Bay.
