I spent much of my life in New York City, where I got to know some of the birds of the Eastern Flyway, and the birds and plants of Manhattan's last salt marsh and the adjacent park.

I'm living in Massachusetts these days, and still getting to know the plant and animal life of the Boston area. That seems to mean learning more about the differences from, and similarities to, what I grew up with. Some of what I post here is going to be volunteer/weed species in other people's yards.
