Since just before the beginning of Minnesota's stay-at-home order in mid-March 2020, I've been walking the same path through the Carleton College Cowling Arboretum every day, trying to notice and learn as much as I can about the native plants of the woods and prairie.

I'm currently the Poet Laureate of Northfield, Minnesota; a member of the Northfield School Board; and a Research Associate in Classics at Carleton College.
