Hello! I am Maria. I recently discovered iNaturalist through the DC City Nature Challenge. I am excited to add/ hopefully discover more species that live in my area.

My interest in nature was initially sparked with gardening, soon thereafter I began learning about foraging and found myself headfirst into plant/tree identification! I have discovered a new passion for the natural world around me and it's really exciting to identify and learn about the plants and animals that live in my region.
