Texan living in Queensland since 2021. A fascination with insects first drew me to the natural world. For my white background photos I use a perspex board and flashes. This allows for studio-style photos in the field. Specimens are always photographed live and then released.

Similar photos have proven useful for scientific publication and conservation outreach purposes, perhaps because portraits in isolation can sometimes create a more intimate perspective.
