I have been studying the native cacti of Nicaragua since 2009 with intent to photograph, identify, and document all of the 30 plus species.
I rarely get out of the northern mountains so my findings are limited to 5 or 6 departments.

A couple years ago I decided to expand my project to include peperomias. I have no print literature on these but iNat has proven to be a valuable resource.

Recently I adopted a Study Area on Hwy 35B between the Panamerican Hwy and the Rio Esteli. I walked the area on both sides of the road and photographed everything I found of interest. That was in late wet season in Dec. of 2023. I need to repeat the process in the dry season.

I also visit NW Arizona/ far Southern Nevada every year.
