I am a retired biologist (Aquatic Toxicologist) and artist, and have a love for photography. We recently moved to the rain forest area near Kuranda, Queensland and have started to explore the "back yard" for all living things. I have been amazed at the range of biota, and only recently was given a beautiful camera for my birthday, so now testing out it's telephoto capabilities on the local bird life! Coming into Wet Season I hope to expand my collection of invertebrate photos, as when we arrived last year I only had a phone and an old digital camera. During Covid lock-down I would take a walk around the garden once a day and just see what I could find. I ended up with quite a collection of photos, which I put into an album, with descriptions, for my friends to see on facebook. I am now in the process of editing my photos and setting goals for future photography.
